Aims & Scope
The Journal of Integrative Cultural Studies (alternative title Zhurnal integrativnykh issledovanij kul’tury) is a peer-reviewed academic research periodical. We publish submissions that focus on different components of culture and aim to integrate disparate cultural artifacts into a comprehensive description of a certain combined cultural and historical outlook. These components are, first and foremost, cultural narratives and the mechanisms of their transmission, cognitive aspects of culture, its phenomenology, axiological models of cultural artifacts and combined cultural and historical outlooks, social institutions that regulate the production and consumption of cultural artifacts and intercultural communication.
Our journal focuses on a professional audience, as well as a wide range of readers interested in the general concepts that make it possible to create snapshots of cultures of specific historical periods or locations, as well as questions of semiotics, hermeneutics and cultural theory and philosophy.
